As described above, The Lifelock 400 will take place at Chicagoland Speedway, it’s formally known as the USG Sheetrock 400 and the Tropicana 400. Obviously, when you’re in a recession, it’s difficult to keep sponsors and because Nascar is a weekly event across the United States, it’s pretty amazing they can get a sponsor for each event during the summer and keep Nascar fans interested. Let’s face it, it’s not everybody now a day who can fork out $500 bucks a weekend to go watch auto racing and with the way jobs have left the automotive industry, it’s amazing how the current sponsors are keeping the ship afloat.
Congrats to the sponsors who are loyal to their events and support something they believe in. It’s too bad we live in a society where most people can’t understand how loyalty from sponsors who support these events are generating jobs and keeping the working cycle from crumbling.
Nevertheless, we had a great finish again last weekend at the Coke Zero 400 and aggressive driving from Kyle Busch cost him some points, as he tried to block Tony Stewart from taking the outside.
Being involved in sports, NASCAR is no different then NFL Football, NBA Basketball or NHL hockey when it involves emotions and one thing I’ve learned in betting, after an emotional weekend like we just witnessed at Daytona; look for a longshot to take the Lifelock.com 400 this weekend. Just part of the game!
My Lifelock.com 400 longshot prediction this week at Chicagoland Speedway is the #99 car, Carl Edwards at +1000.
