Hamilton (50) vs. BC Lions (-13)

Ron’s Prediction: I’m not sure who is running the Hamilton Tiger Cats, but I can see another long season for its fans, as I was not impressed with Marcel Bellefeuille’s game strategy and the Cats in their season opener. They have a great receiver in Rodriguez and they didn’t throw to him until the middle of the fourth quarter. The defense was a bit puzzled at first, as they couldn’t stop the run to their right side of the defense, as Robertson kept running lead runs throw the 5 hole, which is between the tackle and the Slot back. However, Hamilton made some adjustments after the first quarter and was able to hold the Argos to 10 points the rest of the game.

The Lions looked off balance last week, turnover after turnover and when it was time to get the ball rolling, they ran out of time on the clock. The bookmakers have made the Lions a -13 point favorite this weekend and the way they turn the ball over last week, you would be throwing your money away betting the side.

Lions don’t have a running game, as Ian Smart will be out a while with a groin injury and they called in Tyler Ebell this week to learn the Offense. This means Martell Mallet will bet getting most of the touches this week and I expect more of a passing game inside the dome.
