Ron Raymond's Eskimos vs. Alouettes Prediction
By admin on Jul 9, 2009 | In Canadian Football League, Montreal Alouettes, Edmonton Eskimos
Here's a 2* play I've released to my clients for Thursday's game between Edmonton and Montreal.
Ron’s Prediction: Take Montreal -7 (2* PLAY)
The Montreal Alouettes are in my view, the top team in the CFL right now and the way they went into Calgary and dominated, was really impressive. In fact, I don’t think there’s another CFL coach who is more detailed oriented then Marc Trestman, as he’s an excellent X and O’s coach and his team is very well prepared vs. their opponents. The Alouettes are well balance on offense, they have Avon Cobourne who can run the ball very well and the plethora of receivers Calvillo has to throw too on any down makes Montreal a very dangerous team.
Edmonton on the other hand, has no running game and this will be a major problem for Ricky Ray and the offense. In fact, because they don’t have a running game, the Alouettes can put pressure by bringing in the blitz, or just sit back and put a 4 man rush. Edmonton is one of those funny teams; they look like Grey Cup champions at home, but the Detroit Lions or Hamilton Tiger Cats on the road. The sharp CFL bettors are all over this pick, as the line opened at -4 and it’s been bet to -7.
CFL Betting System: When ANY CFL Team played as a Home team -After a non conference game -Total is between 51.5 to 54 - Coming off a game scored 40 points or more - Allowed scored 27 points or less against; The Home TEAM (Alouettes) are 12-1 SU and 8-3-2 ATS since 1996.
Ron’s Prediction: Montreal 35 Edmonton 20 (2* Regular Play)
