The NFL Football players are getting ready to report to training camp and some teams will be meeting some new teammates and new coaches. Mike Singletary and Tom Cable have the “interim” tag removed and are now the Head Coach of the San Francisco 49ers and the Oakland Raiders.
Other teams have fired and hired new field generals, gone in Cleveland is Romeo Crennel and enters former NY Jets head coach Eric Mangini. The Detroit Lions who went 0-16 SU last season under Rod Marinelli have replaced him with Jim Schwartz. Mike Shannahan was shown the door in Denver and replaced with Josh McDaniels. Also, Peyton Manning will have to get to know his new sideline boss, as Tony Dungy has retired and Jim Caldwell will now patrol the Colts sideline.
Another big move was in Kansas City, the Chiefs got the Quarterback they wanted in Cassels from New England, but gone is Herm Edwards and in is former Arizona Cardinals offensive Coordinator Todd Haley.
Now that Eric Mangini is in Cleveland, it didn’t take the New York Jets new head coach to rattle the drums in the AFC East division, as Rex Ryan hasn’t coached one game in the NFL and he’s already calling out other players and coaches. Not a good move T-Rex!
In addition, there is ton of work to be done in St.Louis and the Rams have put their confidence in Steve Spagnuolo who was the defensive coordinator for the New York Giants last season.
Talk about cleaning house, another move was out west, where Mike Holmgren retired after 17 years in the NFL and handed the reigns over to Jim Mora Jr. Plus, Chucky is out and Raheem is in! That’s right; John Gruden will be in the booth now for Monday Night Football and Raheem Morris will be the youngest head coach at the age of 32 patrolling the sidelines for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
NFL Football Betting Odds
The NFL preseason is right around the corner and you will want to be on the look out for NFL preseason odds and one of the best ways to start getting your NFL odds is to visit a sports handicapping portal like the Phoenix Sports Ticket. Ron Raymond who’s the owner and founder of the PST, provides a special section where sports bettors can retrieve the NFL preseason and NFL regular season odds.
If you want to be a more educated bettor, we recommend you have 3 different offshore sportsbook accounts; so this way, you can find better line value. For example, let’s say the first pre-season game of the year which is the NFL Hall of Fame Game in Canton, Ohio, showcases the Buffalo Bills and Tennessee Titans, the line will come out something like Buffalo -2.5, but some other shops might have Buffalo -3.0. If you like the Tennessee Titans in this game, then you can get +3.0 at that sportsbook. That’s why it’s important to have more than one Sportsbook. Sports Handicapper and Professional Gambler Ron Raymond recommends one of the Sportsbooks on his “Recommended Sportsbook” pages and receive the best NFL Football betting odds that best suites your wagering needs.
NFL Super Bowl Odds
Right now is one of the best times to start buying Super Bowl Futures tickets, because a team you might like to win the Super Bowl could have great longshot odds and you can bet them now at a great price. Plus, if that team should make the playoffs and goes on a great Super Bowl run, then you can start hedging your way to a profit.
Example: Let’s say you like Terrell Owens and his new team the Buffalo Bills to win the Super Bowl, the Las Vegas Sportsbooks and Offshore Sportsbooks have got them at +4000. Therefore, you would wager $100 on the Buffalo Bills and should they make the playoffs, you start betting against them and you will net a profit.

NFL Online Gambling
One of the main questions I’m asked over, time and time again at the office, is online gambling legal? Let me put it this way, I’ve been in the online sports betting business since 1996 and I’ve never seen a sports bettor get arrested for laying a wager on sports. However, I’ve seen people who started their own gambling ring or got involved in cooperation with the offshore and online gambling world get busted, but as long as you’re not trying to get involved and operate a sports betting operation or “accept wagers”, you have nothing to worry about. I’ve talked to many legal minds and the one thing they keep telling me; “it’s not illegal to place a bet, it’s illegal to accept a bet”.
People who know me will think I’m a repetitive cd-disk, but if you’re an American Citizen and you live inside the United States, if people in Las Vegas can wager on sports, online or in the Casino, then why can’t an American Citizen outside the Nevada borders do the same thing? You’re all American Citizens, you all pay your taxes to the same place in Washington, you’re all protected by the same Constitution, you all live under the same roof and Barrack Obama is all of your Presidents, he serves all of you, not just Nevadans. Like the old saying goes; “If it’s good for the goose, it’s good for the gander!”
Give it time, evolution has nearly completed it’s cycle, it’s just a matter of time before it’s legal in all states to wager on sports or play online poker and casino. Why else do you think there’s reality television on TV? So everybody can be able to bet on the outcome eventually; do you really think sponsors are getting their return on investment on these programs? The whole world will be working “on demand” pretty soon. Radio, TV, you name it, you will have to pay for it soon, but it’s a good way to get some accountability.
NFL Football Gambling
The NFL is a cash cow, you talk to any Sportsbook manager or owners, and they will tell you 70% of their business comes from football. There’s a saying amongst handicappers, “NFL IS KING!” Not only is the NFL king in the Sports Betting industry, but it’s also king in the business world, because each stadium is sold out on Sundays and the TV revenues they generate can feed 3rd world countries.
Plus, no matter what politicians will tell you or their constituents, the NFL and spread betting is why most people watch all the games on Sunday. Sure, there are some casual fans, who watch the game with no “added incentive”, but most people have some type of interest. Whether its fantasy pools, office pools or betting with an online sportsbook, it’s very popular with society and gambling on NFL Football is here to stay!
NFL Football Picks
The common mistakes regular sports bettor will make at the beginning of a football season and a great percentage don’t even know it, but NFL Handicappers generate most of their business after the second and third week of the NFL Football season. It normally takes about 3 weeks before the average sports bettor’s looks for help winning at betting on NFL football games. Many people think it’s easy to handicap on NFL and College football games, but truth be told, it’s very difficult task to make money, but proven NFL Handicappers will make you money. One reason why most people lose betting on NFL games is because they are not discipline and have horrible money management.
To be honest, making winning NFL Football picks week after week comes with experience and a bit of luck, but the number of bets you wager per week is even more important. Why wager on 5 to 8 games per week, when you only need 1 win to score a big pay day?
One of my best friends in the industry is the owner of Bookmaker Sportsbook and he tells me week after week “Ron you wouldn’t believe the amount NFL parlay bets we write on a weekend, the squares want the lumber yard for the price of a toothpick!” Translation, bet $10 bucks on a 15 team parlay for a payout of $75,000 dollars or about. The average NFL bettor wants to retire on Sunday, they think by hitting that 10 team parlay, they will be able to cash out and just head to Hawaii. I’ve seen it so many times, people call my office and say, “man, and I just got my butt handed to me last week.” I normally ask them, how many games did you bet on and they tell me anywhere from 5 to 10 games. If you want to start winning on Sundays or even Saturdays, lower the amount of bets you make on the weekend and concentrate on just winning that first one!
Get your NFL Picks from real and proven sports handicappers who’ve been at this a long time. I’ve won 4 National Handicapping Football Contest since the year 2000 and most of the contest were 1 or 2 picks a week and my best showing was a 15-2 record. In 2005, I finished with a 49-33-3 ATS record in the Las Vegas Hilton Contest. (22nd out of 505 entries) But, 22nd got me a handshake, sort of like that saying in Talladega nights, if you’re not first, you’re last!
Nevertheless, if you’re interested in learning while you wager, visit this blog each week during the NFL season, as I will be releasing my NFL Football picks for you to dissect.
