Columbus PK +165: The bookmaker had 5 other games to put first on the Las Vegas Nevada rotation, but they chose to put this game first. If you’re new to the sports betting industry, the first game on the board is the silver bullet game to kill parlays. Public will hammer the Bruins, wise guys will take the Jackets.



Ottawa PK -165: Captain Alfie is back in the line up and so is the team confidence. Plus, Elliot expected to get the nod tonight and he’s looking over his shoulder and he sees Mike Brodeur just waiting to steal his job. Blues in a classic letdown spot after their 4-3 OT win last night in La Belle Province.



Florida PK +125: Getting good value on the Panthers and Sutton serving a 2 game suspension, which leaves a hole on the back end. Bookmakers are reacting to DiPietro’s great start and they are pesky at home, but the Panthers Vokoun is 11-4 SU vs. the Islanders lifetime.



Atlanta PK -150: Staal’s first game with the C, but can’t pull the trigger on the Canes who aren’t consistent on offense. Granted, the Canes are 7-3 SU in their last 10 trips to Atlanta, but after the first two lines, you have an AHL lineup. Best play on the ice is wearing a Thrashers uniform.



Tampa Bay PK -120: Here’s the thing with the Leafs, they stink it up one night and fight to the death the next. The fact the Lightning got embarrassed 8-2 vs. the Rangers in their last outing, they will be pressing hard tonight. My ATS Calculator numbers have the Bolts winning a close one.



NY Rangers PK +115: Lundqvist is 10-2-3 SU in this last 15 starts and the Rangers have found a spark in their last 2 games. Plus, they are 8-2 SU in their last 10 trips to Philly and Lundqvist is 12-6 lifetime vs. the Flyers.



Pittsburgh PK -105: The Bookmakers are trying to get people to bet on the Caps by putting them a -115 favorite in this spot, but Johnson is 4-0 lifetime vs. the Caps. However, Theodore has been brilliant as well vs. Pittsburgh with a 15-4-1 record. Tough call, but I’m basing my selection on two things, home ice advantage, and last change for Bylsma and the Caps could be in a letdown spot after their 3-2 win over the Red Wings.



Detroit PK -110: Frustration is starting to set in Detroit; Osgood couldn’t hold another lead and it’s getting frustrating giving up third period leads and losing. Howard is the main guy in Hockeytown and Osgood should only play to give Howards rest. Both teams are on a 3-game losing streak, but the Red Wings have the more talented squad here this evening. Detroit is 7-2-1 SU last 10 in Wild country.



Nashville PK +100: The Predators might be the best road underdog team in the league and the Coyotes are not good in the Favorite position. In fact, they are a better home dog, as they are 8-1 SU in this role. But not this evening! Both teams off a lost, which gives us better value on the road team Preds.



Chicago PK -130: You can only grind so many wins and the Flames need to realize, they can’t win every game 2-1 or 2-0. In fact, Chicago has too much speed for the Flames defense and if they can’t slow them down in the neutral zone before entering the offensive zone, will lead to penalties and power play goals for Chicago. The Hawks have now won the last 4 games vs. Calgary.



Dallas PK +165: The Canucks are coming off a 3-2 overtime win vs. the Oilers, but that was a tough game for the Canucks last night, as they know mentally, the Oilers were in a bad situation, but they fought back to win it. Now, they must travel back to Vancouver and play a rested Stars team. Vancouver is the better team, but not in this spot they are in tonight at this price.



San Jose PK -220: Don’t look now, but the Sharks are scoring touchdowns again! In fact, they’ve scored 14 goals in their last 2 games and Hillier is 1-7 SU lifetime vs. the Sharks. Never a good decision to bet on division games straight up, so maybe consider SJ with another team in a parlay.



LA Kings PK -115: The Sabres are coming off a 5-4 lost to the Ducks, but when you consider they were down 4-0 and to lose 5-4, shows you they play hard for Lindy Ruff. However, they have a history of not playing well in this building tonight at 1-6-1 and Quick will make his second team USA challenge in less then a week. Thomas last week, now Miller this week! Line says Pick’em, but history says Kings!
