Spurs East Coast Roadtrip Headlined By Matchup With Celtics
The San Antonio Spurs have continued their rampage through the NBA this season, now sitting atop both the Western Conference and league through the first week of January.
After disposing of their toughest conference competitor last Thursday (the 25-8 Dallas Mavericks), the Spurs won yet another big game, this time against the Oklahoma City Thunder.
Now with an upcoming game against the Eastern Conference-leading Boston Celtics - currently the league’s second-best team behind San Antonio - Manu Ginobili and company will be put to the test. To bet on Spurs/Celtics, get your NBA odds in Bodog’s online sportsbook.
Prior to their run-in with the 2010 NBA Finals runner-up, the Spurs will face the upstart New York Knicks, currently piecing together one of the franchise’s most successful campaigns in recent memory.
Will the savvy brilliance of head coach Gregg Popovich and veteran big man Tim Duncan be enough to ruin their parade? Currently 3.5 games above even the Celtics in the NBA standings, the Spurs have been ruining a lot of parades.
According to Bodog’s online sportsbook, the Spurs have 8/1 odds of winning the NBA championship. The Celtics, on the other hand, have a surprising 4/1 shot of winning their first ring since 2008.
Will the Wednesday matchup between the Spurs and Celtics go down as one of the best regular season games of the 2010-11 season? It remains to be seen. Be sure to bet with Bodog as soon as the odds come available.
If there’s one thing the Spurs have shown over the course of the season, it’s that they’re not going anywhere any time soon. Their early season heroics have only been reinforced by continued success through the first half of the campaign.
It should came as no surprise though really, the Spurs haven’t been “going anywhere” since they won their first of four titles back in 1999.
