British Open Golf Championship Odds - The Open Championship odds

138th British Open Golf Odds

The Open Championship, otherwise known as the “British Open” will be played in the United Kingdom at Turnberry Golf Course located in South Ayrshire, Scotland is a golf-centered resort on the Atlantic Coast of Scotland. The Open Championship was established in 1860 and this years purse is £4,200,000 euros which is approximately $8.3 million US dollars.

Turnberry is a par 70 golf course and is 7,204 yards in length. The tournament record is -19 set by Tiger Woods in 2000 and the aggregate record after 4 rounds is 267, set by the Shark, Greg Norman in 1993.

The British Sportsbooks have already given the Open Champion trophy otherwise known as the “Claret Jug” to Tiger Woods, as bookmakers have made him a 2 to 1 odds on favorite to win. The next competitor in line to win the Claret Jug is Sergio Garcia at 20 to 1, while Rory McIlroy (20 to 1) Ian Poulter (28 to 1) and Paul Casey (28 to 1) round out the odds.

Where to Bet Online

Where to bet?

In business, cream rises to the top during a recession and since the United States passed their Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act of 2006 (or UIGEA) which is known to many internet gaming insiders, it really differentiated the BEST SPORTSBOOKS with the WORST SPORTSBOOKS.

One of the most important factors when opening an online Sportsbook account, you want to make sure the Casino or Sportsbook who will be receiving your money is a trusted and respected business. In fact, I’ve seen many Sportsbook go from answering emails within 30 minutes to just ignoring you completely and when you phoned their customer service department, they get their people to take a message and never call you back. Is that how you do business in any industry?

How long would any business go out of business if they didn’t reply to questions or have the customer’s best interest. When you’re not answering emails or phone calls from people who want to bet on NFL Football during September or wants to send you funds for the Super Bowl, how much credibility would you put in that Sportsbook?

The reason why I’m sharing this information with you today, I’m an insider in the online sports handicapping industry and my job is to recommend players to only the Best Sportsbook in the industry. Since I’ve got my ear to the ground on a daily basis, I want to share with you my recommendation on good Sportsbooks who have respected the Phoenix Sports Ticket network and our players. Plus, I know if I send bettors to betting shops like Bookmaker and SBG Global, I know they will treat them right and this is why people have come to me for advice and guidance since 1996. In fact, call Bookmaker or SBG Global and ask them if they know Sports Handicapper Ron Raymond or Phoenix Sports, this will reassure your confidence in me and my recommendation of that Sportsbook.

To be honest, I’ve cut my list of recommended Sportsbooks from 12 to only 2 today! In fact, with all the rules and stipulation most of these books have now, you need to have a special government clearance to bet on line now! Plus, some Sportsbooks have drop the ball and lost their loyalty towards their players and have ignored their concerns about their policy or their software. How would you feel if I sent you to a place knowing the Sportsbook will take your money, but if you won, could take you 6 months to get paid? Or, what if it would take you 5 minutes just to login and when you did login, the game was off the board! These are things you need to consider when opening an account with an online Sportsbook. You want to make sure, when there’s 30 minutes to go before kick off or Tip off, and there’s thousands of people trying to bet online, you can login to your account, get a good line on the game you want to bet on and make sure, it’s easy to deposit and withdraw your funds.

Until there’s a clear shift in the online gaming industry, I’m going to push only a handful of Sportsbooks and for now, it’s Bookmaker and SBG Global.

Ron Raymond is a Sports Handicapper at Phoenix Sports and has been involved in the Sports betting industry since 1996. If you’re looking for Sports handicapping and online gaming information, you must check out the Phoenix Sports Ticket.
