UFC102 COUTURE VS NOGUIERA PREDICTION

UFC President Dana White is in a pretty tough spot here, as it will be pretty hard to top UFC 101, because the last two fights on that card are still fresh in peoples minds and now he has to try and sell two fighters who are passed their prime and keep the momentum going in a new venue which is not a regular tour stop for the UFC.
However, this helps White in many ways, because it’s a new venue for the UFC 102 "COUTURE VS NOGUIERA", they’ve never held an event at the Rose Garden in Portland, Oregon, so there will be a novelty affect for the people in the crowd, which helps sale this fight for the surrounding area. From a Pay Per View aspect, it might not draw huge numbers, because it’s the second event in less then 3 weeks and you don’t have that big name headliner which will draw the car accident gawker.

Ron Raymond’s UFC 102 Prediction
Here’s the tale of the tape, you have a 46-year old fighter in Randy “The Natural” Couture who has fought 4 times in the last 4 years and he’s batting .500 in those fights. He never had a chance against Lesnar and won against Gonzaga and Sylvia, two fighters who lost their last fights and have not won a meaningful bout in years. Antonio "Minotauro" Nogueira has won 7 of his last 9 fights, he lost to Frank Mir at UFC 92 and has only lost 5 times during his career and 4 of those loses were by decision with one by knockout. Nogueira seems to be more of a in fight specialist on not putting himself in a vulnerable position, because in 36 fights, to only get knocked out once, that’s pretty damn good. Nogueira wins UFC 102 by decision and will have a better game plan than Couture, as I predict he will try to bring this fight to the ground and try to get a submission.
