Ron Raymond’s Belmont Stakes Prediction
Horse Pick: #7 horse Mind that Bird to "WIN and PLACE"
In my view, the Belmont Stakes race was built for closers and Mind That Bird is the best closer in this field on Saturday. In fact, look for Mind That Bird to explode at the ¾ pole and just fly down the stretch to win the Belmont Stakes. Plus, Borel knows this is the best horse in the field, that’s why he accepted the ride and look for him to hug the rail down the stretch, as he knows this horse. To be honest, I expect this race to look a lot like the Kentucky Derby, where Borel will let the other horses get the lead, make his move at the halfway mark and then fly down the stretch towards the insider rail.
The bad news, Mind that Bird should be the favorite, so he won’t pay much. Bet him to win and place like we did in the Preakness Stakes.

RON RAYMOND'S PREAKNESS STAKES PREDICTIONS

Rachel Alexandra seems to be the public choice and from a betting perspective, that’s the horse the bookmakers want you to bet on and I call it my sucker trap bet! When was the last time a favorite at post time of the big 3 (Kentucky Derby, Preakness Stakes and Belmont) won a race? It’s been a while and let me ask you this question, if Rachel Alexandra is such a great horse, why was it kept out of the Kentucky Derby?
Here are my Preakness Stakes horse predictions picks for this Saturday’s Preakness Stakes race at Pimlico:
$100 on #2 horse “Mine that Bird” to “WIN and Place”
*Note: This type of betting is called “Double Dutching”, this means you pick a horse to come in 1st or 2nd. This way, if a horse comes in 2nd, you hope he’s at good odds to get your money back on both bets.
$50 Exactor Box Bet: #2 Mine that Bird and #9 horse Pioneer of the Nile
$12 Triactor Box: #2 Mine that Bird, #9 Pioneer of the Nile and #6 Terrain.
