It doesn’t get any bigger in NASCAR when you can say the words “Brickyard” and “Indianapolis” man that goes hand in hand like Apple Pie and Milk! OK, maybe that’s a reach, but if you’re a big NASCAR fan, you have to love the Allstate 400 at the Brickyard. In fact, did you know this race when it comes to purse money, is second only to the Daytona 500, maybe that’s why there’s a week off before this race, so teams can get their gears together! Furthermore, did you know when it comes to attendance; this race is the big daddy of them all, as they’ve drawn crowds of up to 250,000!
Why do they call it the Brickyard 400 back then? Because the track was paved in brick in 1909 and a three foot strip of brick still remains at the start/finish line.

When you look at the two biggest races on the schedule, the Daytona 500 and the Brickyard 500 are two of the biggest purse and with a week off to prepare, I’m going to lean towards our Daytona 500 winner, Matt Kenseth and the #17 car. Luck should have it, 17 is my favorite number! But that’s just a coincidence and it has no meaning on why I like Kenseth to win the Allstate 400 at the Brickyard race. Matt has 2 wins this season, and he has 4 Top 5 finishes at this track. Let’s back the Daytona 500 winner and we are getting great value on him at +2200. Wager $100 to win $200 on Matt Kenseth.
Here’s my Gold, Silver and Bronze pick
