Heisman:

“We were planning on reopening our Heisman odds with only a few weeks left in the season but with these Cam Newton allegations and the story escalating it would not be a wise move to open them at this time. Newton would be heavy favorite but whether these rumors are true or not it will sit in the back of people’s minds when voting on the Heisman winner. Until we evaluate this further they will stay down.”

BET NFL WEEK 2 WITH BODOG SPORTSBOOK

The Dallas Cowboys had a sloppy preseason and a sloppy Week 1, punctuated by a sloppy play at the end of the fourth quarter that would have given them an opening day victory over the Washington Redskins. Will this week be the one when the Cowboys finally manage to turn things around?

Cowboys head coach Wade Phillips will have his work cut out for him in Week 2 trying to reverse a frightening trend that has appeared so far in this early 2010 campaign. Though Tony Romo and Roy Williams managed to connect for a would-be game winning touch down pass, the Cowboys committed 12 penalties on the afternoon, including the flag that reversed their star tandem’s final TD.

With the Chicago Bears up next on the agenda (35/1 odds to win the 2011 Super Bowl) fresh off of a marginal victory over the woeful Detroit Lions (150/1 odds to win the 2011 Super Bowl) the Cowboys will need to make sure that they don’t get complacent with mediocrity.

Feel like betting on NFL football? Check out Bodog Sportsbook for all you need to get in the game.

The Dallas Cowboys have 12/1 odds to win the 2011 Super Bowl, thanks to Romo and a bevy of impressive receivers (including Miles Austin and rookie Dez Bryant).

Also on the slate for Week 2 NFL Football odds is an anticipated match up between the New York Jets and the New England Patriots. Last year, rookie quarterback Mark Sanchez led his Jets over the Patriots in a similar early-season tilt. Will history repeat itself with Tom Brady still nursing the lingering effects of a car accident?

The New York Jets have 12/1 odds to win the 2011 Super Bowl but the Patriots are slightly favored at 10/1. Who will cover the spread?

You’ve been sitting on the sidelines for far too long; shake off the last of that offseason rust and get in the game. Be a player. Bet now at Bodog.
