It’s been a while since you’ve seen two great AFC and NFC Championship matchup games, but that’s the case this Sunday. The early game at 3:00pm EST has the Green Bay Packers taking on the Chicago Bears at Soldier Field. The oddsmakers have made the visiting road team Green Bay Packers a -3.5 point favorite vs. the Bears, while the over/under on the game is 43.5.
In Pittsburgh, the Steelers will host the New York Jets and kick off is 6pm EST. The Steelers are a -3.5 point home favorite vs. Rex Ryan’s Jets and the total on the game is 38.5, as Las Vegas Sportsbooks are anticipating a lower scoring game in the AFC Championship game.
I’ve got some great trends and systems on this game and I’m going to share them with you below. My ATS Calculator has forecasted a Pittsburgh vs. Green Bay Super Bowl, as the Calculator likes the Steelers to win by 6.76 points and the total to land on 40.99. In the NFC Championship game, the ATS Calculator likes the Packers to win by 6.67 points with the total landing on 40.38.
In my view, I feel you’re going to see a defensive battle in Chicago and the Bears are a bit deeper on the depth chart on defense and I’m looking for Julius Peppers and Lance Briggs to play a major role this Sunday in containing Aaron Rodgers in the pocket. I like the Bears to win this one 26-17.
In the AFC Championship game, I believe Mark Sanchez played a safe game last week vs. the Patriots, but this will be a more aggressive defense and to win three straight road games in the playoffs might be too much for Sanchez this Sunday in what should be the most hostile environment he will encounter. I like the Steelers to win this game, 14-9. Close game, but Dick Lebeau should have a great game plan to keep the Jets rushers under 100 yards and avoid the long passes that can hurt you.
Here are my NFL Playoff trends and systems.
