I normally like to have at least 30% to 40% of underdogs with my selections, but today’s card looks like a good night for the favorites. However, parity is alive and well, so pick your spots and maybe parlay a few favorites together if you like the chalk as well.

Anaheim PK -105: Anderson is starting to sit lazy players, so look for the Thrashers to come out hard. Ducks are 4-1 SU vs. the Thrashers since ’96. LA Kings PK -115: The Kings are 4-1 in their last 5 games and a Toronto visit always pump the boys up who are from the area! Detroit PK -175: The Coyotes are not as consistent as they were in the first 3 months of the season and Detroit is getting healthy again. Only thing with Detroit, they should even out the first 3 lines, too stacked on the front line with Datsyk, Zetterberg and Bert! Nashville PK -115: The Predators are you’re typical lunch bucket team and the Blue Jackets cannot be trusted with shaky goaltending vs. a hard working team. When NASHVILLE played as a Favorite - During Last 5 Years - With SU Record of 2 Win 3 Lost in L5G; the Preds are 40-19 SU.

Washington PK -160: My first instinct is to play the home dog Islanders, but the Caps are just too hot right now (9-1 L10)! Chicago PK -220: The Hawks just lost 5-1 to the Canucks and must now regroup vs. the worst team in the league. Can you say “BLOWOUT”!
