*Where to locate the 80% Club Link? At the top of the ATS Database website, you will see a link that says “80% Club”, click on that link and then click on the league of the sport you want like NHL or NFL. You know that old saying, if I had a nickel for every time I heard that, I would be a millionaire? Well, back up the brinks truck, because people have told me time and time again, the 80% Club section is the only page they visit on the site. Not sure that’s a compliment to the rest of the site, but it’s nice to know people appreciate the hard work that goes into building a winning site. The 80% Club has made people a lot of money and it’s the engine of the ATS Database website. Here’s an example of one of the 80% Club Stats for NFL Week 16 and it affects the Arizona Cardinals who are at home against the St.Louis Rams.
Parity Value Index (PVI Ratings) (Click Here) *Where can I find the Parity Value index? The Parity Value Index rating can be found on the front page of ATSDatabase.com in the left side menu. Or go here; http://www.atsdatabase.com/parity_calc.php What exactly is the Parity Value Index? Sports Handicapper Ron Raymond believes everything runs in cycles in the numbers game and what you want to do is take a small cycle of 3 games and a large cycle (overall season record), combined them together and it will produce a percentage of what the outcome of a side and total should be in the next game. Nobody has a crystal ball or tomorrow’s newspaper, but we do know everything in sports betting is based around 50%! That’s your magic number, not 100% or 0%! Using the chart below from the 2009 NFL Week 16 season; the Chargers have a 58% chance of covering the spread, while the Titans have a 62% shot. Keep in mind, the Parity Value Index calculator was based on teams getting back to (50%). The Chargers are 1-2 ATS in their last 3 games covering the spread, while the Titans are also 1-2 ATS. However, the Chargers are 7-7 ATS on the season, while the Titans are 6-8 ATS, so the chances of the Titans getting back to 50% are much better, then the Chargers. The average fans will think the Chargers are the better play in this game, but the Bookmakers know the fans will be betting that way, so they put up a spread on the game in which they know they will receive balance action on the game.
Parity Value Index (PVI O/U) Same thing for the OVER/UNDER on this game, the OVER is 2-1-0 for both the Chargers and Titans in their last 3 games. However, the OVER is 8-5-1 for the Chargers and its 8-6-0 for the Titans. Therefore, the bookmakers know the public will be anticipating another game going OVER, so the PVI on this game going UNDER is 63%. Therefore, the bookmaker’s job is to put an OVER/UNDER number to bring the OVER/UNDER records of both teams back to 50%, but to manage it to get action on both the OVER and the UNDER. *TIP: I always put the PVI side and O/U on my home work sheet, as I know right off the bat, what the bookmaker wants. *How to find the SOS (Strength of Schedule) section? The SOS (Strength of Schedule) link can be located on the front in the left side menu or on the menu bar at the top of the website.
The ATS Strength of Schedule (SOS) page breaks down the last 3 games, last 10 games and the overall season strength of schedule records. Example: Using the NBA SOS chart below, you can see the Boston Celtics are 6-1 SU in their last 7 games, but their Strength of Schedule in their last 7 games is 40.82%, which means they’ve face some weak opponents during their current winning streak. Therefore, the Bookmakers know the betting public will be wagering on the Celtics, so they will try to beat them with a bad line. To make my point, as of December 24th, the Celtics are 6-1 straight up (SU) in their last 7 games, but only 2-5-0 Against The Spread (ATS), advantage Bookmaker!

Smart Stats (Click Here) *How to find the Smart Stats section? You can locate the Smart Stats section on the front page of the ATSDatabase.com site; look in the right side menu below the “popular links” section. I’m a strong believer of betting in cycles, as betting into a cycle is like betting against the public. It’s a form of contrarian thinking; just look at your weekly NFL pool contest winners, who are the person who normally wins the weekly pool? It’s the one who played the underdogs or picked against the consensus. Think about it, if everybody bet on the favorites or the same favorite teams, you would need a perfect sheet to win the week. But, betting against conventional thinking, you just gave yourself a shot at winning a week. Granted, it might be against normal way of doing things, but normal people always finish last. When using the Smart Stats, look for stats that are overloaded on one side, but I would suggest you use it more for the over/under. Look for situations when both teams have green or blue star stats on one side, either overs or unders. If you have 3 overs on one team and 4 overs on the other teams, bet the over. However, make it a no play if you have a contrary play, for example; If you have 3 overs and 1 under on one team, but 4 overs on the other team, it’s a no play. Here’s an example on when to play on the UNDER. Whenever you have a combination of 3 stars or more on one total, then it’s considered a play. In the example below between the Bills and Falcons, you have a 6-10-0 stat on the UNDER in the Bills column and two UNDERS (4-7-0 and 8-12-1) in the Falcons column, then it’s a live play on the UNDER.
Linemoves (Click here) *How to find the Linemoves section: You can find the Linemoves link by clicking on “Linemoves” at the top of the ATS Database menu bar. Here’s one of the best ways to handicap a game, it’s called “follow the money”. Money rules everything in this industry; it’s one of the main reasons why people wager on sports. Ego is a close second! One of the best ways to handicap a game using the LINEMOVES software, wait 15 minutes prior to game time, then follow the line moves, as this is when the smart players unload their big plays on certain games. Example: Let’s use the Poinsettia Bowl game on December 23rd between the Utah Utes and the California Golden Bears. The Utah Utes won the game 37-27. The line opened at -3 on December 7th and went to -3.5 on December 14th right up to the 21st of December, where it was bet down to -3 and it went down to -2.5 on game day. The smart money came in on the Utes, which tells us, the right side to bet on the Poinsettia Bowl game was Utah and you would have won your bet.

*How to find any of the Search Databases: You can find any of our search databases on the front page of ATS Database on the left side menu in the Databases section. The ATS Database has 3 types of databases, so sports bettors can make their own research on an angle they value. For example; how does a team like Tampa Bay who plays in hot weather home games, do in a place like Green Bay or Chicago in December as a +7.0 or more point road underdog? ATS Database will tell you! One of the best tools I like to use at the ATS Database is the “Regular Database”, as it tells me how a team does on the road vs. the opponent they are going to face. For instance, I know the Montreal Canadiens have the hardest time winning in New Jersey, not sure if it’s the Brodeur factor, but the Habs can’t steal a road win in this building. Using the Head to Head NHL database, I ask the database, when Montreal is a road team in New Jersey in their last 25 games, what is their record? Amazingly enough, the Montreal Canadiens are 2-21-2 in their last 25 visits to New Jersey, so I know there’s no value in betting on Montreal when they travel to New Jersey.
